Decorating My Blog For Christmas

I've been trying hard to get my blog all spruced up for a new "Christmas" look. I tried to figure out on Photoshop how to make my header have falling snow. My version of Photoshop is old and I evidently can't do that. I then went to www.picturetrail.com and made a cute little blinky of this picture with falling snow. It looks cute, but I can't figure out how to insert it as my header. You should be able to see it in the sidebar. It's times like this that I wish I were more computer savvy. On top of being computer illiterate, my computer is running as slow as molasses. I'm still cheerful though because this is my favorite time of year! I just love the holidays. Keeping watching because I'll keep tweeking my blog until I am happy with it's new Christmas touches.
Below is a new print that I've added to eBay and Etsy shops. My links are in the sidebar. You may have noticed that I've closed my MySpace page and my Yessy shop. I'm trying to simply my life and prefer to do just a few things well instead of halfway doing several.

Now, for a real shocker. Yesterday while driving to Independence, MO look at what I saw!

Can you believe those prices! I live about 45 minutes away and it's 20 cents higher. Thought some of you might enjoy this since the news keeps saying that the average is still above $2.00.

  1. Your Christmas look, is looking mighty Merry!! I don't know anything about computer stuff. I just hope my photo editing program never stops working - I would be so lost if I had to try something new!

Great gas prices! Our gas just lowered to $2.13.

  2. Love the new look of your blog Cathie! I like a black background as well...everything seems to "pop" against black. The falling snow looks great on your sidebar...very nice. I'm not too computer literate myself or I'd offer to assist you with getting it on your header but I'm not the "go to" person for computer things.

  3. Love your Christmas look Cathie. I need to be working on something for mine.

WOW 1.65...we thought we were doing good at HYVEE at the lake, when it was 1.96. We saw it somewhere for 1.89. But your 1.65 beats them all. We find QT, usually has the best fuel prices in our neck of the woods. The problem...the nearest is about 15 miles away!

  4. Love your banner Catherine....I know what you mean though, doing stuff online is sometimes not as easy as we think it will be or would like it to be. LOL.

Do you live in MO?? My husband is from Kansas City Mo and that is where my in laws still live. : )

P.S. In Michigan - the cheapest I've seen gas so far is $1.93 / gallon.
