Orrick Christian Church Folk Art Painting by Catherine Holman

This week I finished this painting that I'm donating to our church. We are going to build a new church since we have out grown this sweet, charming building. What a problem to have, right?  Making Heaven Crowded! I'm sharing step by step images of how this painting came together.

In the quaint farming town of Orrick, there’s a charming country church directly across the street from the train tracks.  Every year they have an old fashioned tent revival where dinner is served, hymns fill the evening air, and baptisms are done in a large trough.  They pray for people in need and build strong relationships with God, family, and friends.  They’re Bible believing, faithful followers of Christ working to make Heaven crowded.

If you're local and looking for a church, our service times are on the sign. We'd love to see you there! If you can't see that teeny tiny writing on the sign leave me a comment. All print sales will go to our building fund.

Thanksgiving Folk Art Painting

Wishing each of you a very happy Thanksgiving day with your family and friends.  Remember to pray for those who are serving our country and can't be with their loved ones.

We will be going to my daughter, Amber's, house to celebrate and I just finished making pecan pies to take along with Sweet Potato Casserole, and dinner rolls.  I'm so looking forward to time with family and friends.
