Valentine Cupcake Mugs

I hope everyone is surviving this freezing weather!  I'm a little weird, but if it's not windy, I love the feel of cold crisp air.  I'm not going out when it's below 0 though!  We got down to -8 but by Saturday it's supposed to be in the 50's.  Welcome to Missouri winters.
Recently, I started working with a company to produce some of my artwork on mugs.  I'm so excited about their white camp mugs!  Valentine's Day is coming soon and these mugs would be a great gift filled with some sweet treats.

These are available in my Etsy store here.
It takes 3-5 business days from the time you place your order until they are shipped, so get your orders in now to assure delivery in time for Valaentine's Day!
They come direct from the company that makes them and they package them beautifully.
They are dishwasher safe too!

Stay warm!!

Just an update to add that if you would prefer ceramic, over this metal camp mug, I can make that happen too!  I just listed one for the "Be My Valentine" design and would be happy to do the others if anyone is interested.

Be Mine Valentine!

Today my neighbor, Betty, and I are headed to Hamilton, MO to the Missouri Star Quilt Company.  If you quilt, you've probably heard of them.  They are filming a new DVD and needed audience members.  They are one of the fastest growing businesses in the midwest and they are smack dab in the middle of a tiny farming community.  I'll keep you posted on our little trip when we return.

"Happy Valentine's Day!"

Giveaway Valentine Cupcake Painting

It's a Valentine Cupcake Giveaway!
If you would like to enter my giveaway, simply leave a comment on this post by Sunday, Feb. 8th at midnight.  I will announce the winner on Feb. 9th and will send an email asking for the mailing address.  Please make sure to leave your email address along with your comment.    If  I can't contact you, you can't win.    For a second chance to win, go to my facebook page and click "like" at the top of the page.  Then, come back here and let me know that you've "liked" me on facebook in another comment on this post.

This "Sweet as a Cupcake" painting measures 4" x 4" and the 1 1/2" edges are wrapped with red and whited polka dot satin ribbon and tied in a bow at the top.

Today is my daughter, Amber's birthday.  I made these slippers for her and decided to make an extra pair for myself.  I just love these colors!

Here's Amber trying them on for size and photographing them from her phone.

I think I'll have to make these in several colors.
Happy Birthday Amber!!
Why don't we all surprise her and stop in at Hoot 'n Annie and wish her a great day.

As mentioned in the last comment, Sunday was the 5th and not the 8th, so I am closing the comments and announcing the winner in the next post.  I would like to get it in the mail quickly so the winner can hopefully receive it before Valentine's Day.  Sorry for the mix up.

You're my Cupcake Valentine Painting

I've finally gotten back into the swing of things and finished a new Valentine cupcake painting.  It's up for auction on eBay.

Fluffy frosting is decorated with tiny hearts in various shades of pink on top of a decadent Red Velvet cupcake. An arrow pierces the Valentine heart label on this turqouise cupcake liner. The perfect calorie free gift for that special someone!
A brown and pink dotted ribbon is wrapped around the edges of the canvas and ties in a bow at the top.

Keep checking back because I'm having a Valentine  painting giveaway soon!

Cupid's Arrow Valentine Cupcake and a 100 Year Celebration

What a celebration! Grandma Chickie turned 100 on January 4th.  She had so much fun visiting with people who came from miles around to share this day with her.  Here she is holding her high school graduation picture.  She honestly told the news paper that she didn't know if she could make it another 100 years.  This great lady still lives on the farm and inspires me every day.
My father in law is still in the Rehab Nursing Home working hard to recover from a stroke.  He has been back and forth between the V.A. Hospital and the nursing home due to a few setbacks.  Please keep him in your prayers because he sure has a long way to go.

This week I've been setting goals for myself and my artwork for the New Year.  Yesterday I finished this little Valentine Painting and will be working hard to paint more this year.  Motivation has been very difficult for me this year, but I promise to get with it soon.

"Cupid's Arrow Valentine Cupcake"

Tiny red sprinkles glisten on the edge of this luscious butter cream frosting. This chocolate cupcake in a red wrapper is accented with white hearts. A red "cupid" heart pearced by an arrow tops it off. A red and white dotted ribbon is wrapped around the edges of the canvas and tied in a bow at the top.

Hopefully lots of new and exciting paintings will fly out of my studio this year.  If you have any ideas for what you'd like from my blog this year, please leave a comment.  Please leave a comment anyway because I truly love reading everyone of them!

Yarn Shoppe and Cupcake Paintings

I've had a few requests for a yarn shop painting and here it is!
Stella and her sister Delores own the yarn shoppe in the center of town. New friendships have formed with the wonderful customers who sign up for their classes. You could say they are a close knit group. The two sister's spent the day decorating the shop for autumn and whipped up a batch of pumpkin bread to serve in their classes along with a mug of hot spiced cider.

For those who don't want the expense of an original painting, it will soon be available as a print which can be personalized.  This painting is listed on eBay and you can click on the title above if you are interested.   The auction ends tomorrow night.

I also have a little cupcake painting that I finished yesterday and listed on eBay.

A caramel surprise is tucked in the center of this dark chocolate cupcake with turquoise frosting. This treat is topped with a caramel acorn dipped in melted chocolate and then in chocolate sprinkles. A turquoise and brown dotted ribbon is wrapped around the edges of the canvas and tied in a bow at the top.

I saw these little acorns on another website and they are simply made with caramels.  You place 5 or 6 in the microwave at a time for about 5 seconds.  Roll between you hands to shape like an egg.  Dip one end into melted chocolate frosting (from a can) and then into chocolate sprinkles.  I can't wait to try this perfect treat for Autumn!

Print Giveaway Winner and a New Valentine Cupcake Painting

I've been pretty busy with custom orders lately and it's been difficult to work in a few minutes to post on my blog. I did manage, however, to get this new little cupcake painting done for eBay. I try to list at least one or two new paintings on eBay each week.
Decorate your home for Valentine's Day with this colorful 5 inch x 7 inch cupcake painting. A moist yellow cupcake with a red and white polka dot liner is piled high with fluffy white frosting and a bright red cherry nesting on top. A cute heart shaped valentine is attached to the side of the cupcake which rests on a black cake stand topped with a glass cloche. The black lettering is dripping with white frosting and accented with red hearts.

Congratulations! Melissa from Sunbonnet Cottage is the winner of my print "Giveaway", Hill Crest Island. Send me your address Melissa (my email is in the sidebar). Thanks to all of you for your wonderful comments and good luck next time!
I know that a lot of you thought this was a painting I was giving away, but it really did say print. Keep watching though. There may be a painting giveaway sometime soon!
