Village of Nottington

Finished!! I completed this last night just in time to get it listed on eBay. I don't think I'm painting today because I want to rip the carpet from my stairs. So, maybe I'll do some kind of artsy paint job on the stairs. Then again, maybe I'll just paint them white or strip them. I was pretty disappointed when I peeked under the carpet to see what was there. I'll just have to get creative!

Another Paint Shirt

Yesterday I ruined yet another good shirt! I have more paint shirts than I can count. I wear an apron that I got from one of my favorite clothing stores, Pacific Breeze, in Weston, MO. Elsa, the shop owner, used to be located in Nell Hill's linen store in Atchison, KS. When that shop closed she moved to the quaint town of Weston. Her sister, who is in Taiwan, designs the clothes for the shop. Sometime I will photograph my apron and post it. But, since it's getting cooler, I'm now wearing long sleeves which aren't protected by the apron. Guess it's time to start wearing my favorite old denim shirt over my clothes.

This winter scene should be finished today and listed on eBay this evening.

Two New Itty Bitty Folk Art Paintings

It's a wonderful lazy, rainy morning. I finished these two 4 inch square paintings over the weekend and listed them on eBay. With my morning coffee in hand, I'm now ready to start the day and finish the 16 x 20 winter painting that I started yesterday.

Graystone Galleria Folk Art Painting

While traveling to do a trade show in Rhode Island last year we came across this building in a small town. I took the liberty of changing the dormers though. Candles are lit in all the windows and pumpkins and mums decorate the front of the store. This was a great little "New England" town. I just wish I could remember the name. I've listed this painting on eBay.

Faux Fireplace

I'm running a little behind on my painting so I've decided to share a photo of the faux fireplace that I painted in the living room of my old house. The room didn't have a focal point to arrange the furniture around, so out came the brushes and I created one myself. The mantle and hearth are real and were built by my husband.

Lulabelle Goes To Church Folk Art Painting

I love old country churches and the since of family and community that dwells within. This painting will be listed on eBay this evening.

Lulabelle has escaped from farmer Clevenger's farm again and is headed for the local church. She was simply overwhelmed by the brilliant leaves falling from the large maple tree. This church established in 1888 has been serving the local parishoners for many generations. The church ladies have decorated the front steps with pumpkins to welcome guests for the potluck after services.

Folk Art Painting Woodland Drive

My dear friend, Winnie, came over this morning for coffee and pumpkin donuts. What a great way to start a day. Thus the influence for this new little painting. Although it's not winter yet, it was a rather chilly start to the morning. This little winter, folk art painting is for all those requests for winter scenes and will be listed on eBay this evening.

This week's Folk Art Paintings

Wow! It's been a while since I've visited my own blog. I've been so busy the past couple of weeks painting away and riding the Harley with my husband since the weather has been so great! We went to Lansing, KS and then to Leavenworth with some friends on our bikes to eat breakfast at an old train depot that had been turned into a restaurant. It was a beautiful ride through the rolling hills and breakfast was wonderful!

This past week I've added three new autumn paintings to my eBay auctions and a small winter one will be added this evening. I've added photos of them here. I've had a few requests for some winter paintings and I will be adding more, but for now I'm in the autumn mood.
