200th Post Giveaway!

It's hard to believe that this is my 200th post. What's even harder to believe is that I have enough to say that fills 200 posts. My sister would beg to differ and would say that's why I'm known as "Chatty Cathie". In celebration of my 200th post I will be giving away the following:

This "Echoes of Halloween" print that measures 10 3/4 inches x 2 1/2 inches

(click on any of the photos for a closer view)

.... "I Delight in your Commands" print that measures 7 3/4 inches x 7 3/4 inches
.... "Heritage Grove" print that measures 6 3/4 inches x 6 3/4 inches and...
....last but not least this cute little "Cassandra" cat ornament.
This piece is hand painted, crackled, and antiqued. She has a little pink crystal attached to her necklace and a brad attached at each corner.
A little twisted wire and bead is attached at the bottom and the back says, "Cassandra is a very tender hearted cat who loves her family dearly!" It is also signed and dated on the back. The ornament hangs from a satin ribbon that is attached to the top.
To enter, simply leave a comment on this post by midnight Oct. 14th. The winner will be picked by a random number generator.

Speaking of giveaways, I was the winner on Tammy Sprinkle's Art and Inspiration, blog and look at what came in the mail today:

As I was opening the package I noticed how cute the packing paper was. The crimped strips of packing say, "Embrace Life". You may have to click on the photo in order to read it.

....and this is what was inside:

a pretty hand painted round box with a sweet little handkerchief, hand painted Halloween ornaments attached to a black grosgrain ribbon that I hung as a swag, and a pumpkin cider scented candle. What a sweet surprise! I love them and they all look wonderful in my dining room. Please check out Tammy's blog. She's a very talented lady!

Tonight I also listed a new painting, Angels, on eBay which is the second in my series of paintings incorporating words from the Bible and their definitions from the Bible Concordance.

Bible Concordance definition for Angels: heavenly beings created by God

Effie and Ogden believe that autumn is their favorite time of year. They love the beauty of God's world that surrounds them and their family. Since it's the weekend they know their children will rise early tomorrow and head outside to jump and romp through the crisp falling leaves. Leaves will be raked into a huge pile to burn in the evening as they roast their hot dogs and marshmallows. This is a family ritual that happens each weekend until the trees have shed their final leaves.

I'm truly amazed that people are interested in reading my posts and I want to thank everyone for their support!

  26. Cathie: What amazes me is that you continue to be amazed that so many people are "interested" in you and your work! Interested?!? Let's see: impressed, thankful that you share your talent with the world, always eager to see your next creation, and so very grateful to be allowed to participate in the charmingly simple lifestyle that you depict in your paintings. I've been saying for years that I want to live in this world you've created! Thank you for "sharing" that world, and enriching our lives!

  29. Hi Cathie,
Well, I am not really amazed at the things you come up with. You have always been a very special abd talented person to us all!! The stories you come up with are so life like, it is easy to get hooked on each family. We are waiting on the next story to see how they are all doing. Kinda like "Peyton Place". I guess I am luckier than most since you are my sister-n-law! ha! :) When I look in each of our homes and see he many paintings, etc. you have done over the years, I wish I had part of your mind and talent to use myself! God has truly given you a gift to share with many others !! We are all looking forward to your next picture ! I love the winter and fall things the most I think. But have yet to dislike anything you have done !
Do keep up the great work you are doing ! We love you dearly !!
    Love and Hugs,

  32. I had to come back over after seeing your comment to my earring post. The thing is I was home alone and Sophie, my dog, kept mum. Why my friend or her husband did not speak up is beyond me. This morning I had my husband get the stupid pin off the earring where it was lodged and told him the story. He said, "Who told you?" I told him no one, I found out after I got back home! He was incredulous responding, "Your kidding right?" How I put that thing on and never noticed is beyond me but these things seem to happen to me repeatedly. I just laugh them off and chalk it up to not taking myself too seriously and hey, it makes for a great blog post! Glad to make you laugh!
