Valentine Cottage Folk Art Painting

This is just a quick little post to let you know that I listed this little Valentine Cottage painting on eBay last night.

Decorative details adorn this cozy cottage owned by decorative painters Pollyann and Phillip. When they first bought the house it was painted white but now their decorative details have added their signature work to the home. Black and white checkerboard trim edges the roof sections. A cute red and white checkerboard chimney and polka dot roof were the inspiration for the stained glass window with the red heart that Pollyann designed. Love is abundant in this home where a red heart decorates the door for Valentine's Day. The lettering for the "Be Mine" bracket is decoupaged to the canvas and the black bracket is painted around it.

You have your choice of a red and white or black and white checked ribbon tied around the edge of the canvas.

Back to the Super Bowl half time entertainment!

  4. Oh, I love it, so sweet! Thanks for sending the information on the paintings. I am trying to find a good clear picture to show you for the painting. I want to have my grandmothers old house in it. We called it The Old House and it is was very dear to me. All my best memories were made there. I'll keep looking and get back to you. I may have to make a trip up to my aunts house to look through her albums to find one. Happy Painting!

  6. Wow Catherine, this is SO super cute! Lots of artist are offering online classes lately...have you considered it? I have only been painting for a year and would love to learn from someone like you. If you ever do it, let me know...I'll race to be the first one to sign up! :)
